Pathologist Retires After 37 Years of Service in the Puget Sound Medical Community

Incyte Diagnostics pathologist Dr. David D. Nordin is retiring this Fall. Dr. Nordin’s accomplishments are both memorable and numerous during his years with Eastside Pathology and Incyte Diagnostics.

Dr. Nordin served for 30 years as a staff pathologist and Laboratory Medical Director at Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue, Washington. He also held privileges at Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington during this period.

After completing his residency at the University of Washington, Dr. Nordin served the Puget Sound medical community for the next thirty seven years . Since 1978, he was Associate Professor of Clinical Pathology at the University of Washington and was a pathologist at Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue. He also acted as the Center’s Medical Director of Laboratories since 1986. Dr. Nordin was the Chief of Staff at Overlake Hospital Medical Center from 1995 to 1998.

A past president of the Pacific Northwest Society of Pathologists, Dr. Nordin was also a Diplomate to the United States National Board of Medical Examiners since 1973. Dr. Nordin served terms as President-Elect for the Snohomish Medical Society and was a Washington State Commissioner of the Laboratory Inspection and Accreditation Program for the College of American Pathologists.
